Huangomys frequens

Taxonomy
Huangomys frequens was named by Schmidt-Kittler et al. (2007). Its type specimen is NHMW 2006z0068/0001, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Taatsiin Gol, right side, section TGR-B, layer 1, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial mudstone in the Hsanda Gol Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Huangomys.
