Zelomys joannes
Taxonomy
Zelomys joannes was named by Dawson et al. (2003). Its type specimen is IVPP V 13516, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Huoshipo, Guojiazhuang Village, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Hedi Formation of China.
