Taxonomy
Macrocypraea veintensis was named by Perrilliat et al. (2003). Its type specimen is IHN 6682, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is IHN 1005, Veinte de Noviembre, which is in a Lutetian open shallow subtidal limestone in the San Juan Formation of Mexico.
