Taxonomy
Lambdaconus alius was named by Ameghino (1901). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mustersan of Patagonia, which is in a Mustersan terrestrial horizon in Argentina.
It was recombined as Polymorphis alius by Simpson (1948); it was considered a nomen dubium by Gelfo (2010).
