Taxonomy
Kherem asiatica was named by Wang and Dashzeveg (2005). Its type specimen is PC 36210, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tashgain Bel, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial claystone in the Hsanda Gol Formation of Mongolia.
