Propustularia kemperae

Taxonomy
Cypraea kemperae was named by Nelson (1925). Its type specimen is CAS 987, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS loc. 391, Runkle Canyon, Simi Hills, which is in a Selandian marine siliciclastic in the Santa Susana Formation of California.

It was recombined as Propustularia kemperae by Perrilliat (2013), Groves and Squires (2023).

Aperture narrow, curved at posterior end. Outer lip thickened, with 16 prominent crenulations; inner lip with 15 crenulations, less prominent than those from outer lip. Anterior terminal canal deep, posterior terminal canal shallow.
