Phalacrocorax longipes
Taxonomy
Pliocarbo longipes was named by Tugarinov (1940). Its type specimen is 228-2, a limb element (tarsometatarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Novaja Slobodka, which is in a Zanclean marine horizon in Ukraine.
It was recombined as Phalacrocorax longipes by Mlikovsky (2002), Göhlich and Mourer-Cauvire (2010).
