Litodontomys chubutensis
Taxonomy
Litodontomys chubutensis was named by Loomis (1914). Its type specimen is ACM 3086, a mandible (fragmentary right mandible with i, p4-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cabeza Blanca, which is in a Deseadan terrestrial shale/claystone in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Litodontomys.
