Oligobiotherium divisum
Taxonomy
Oligobiotherium divisus was named by Ameghino (1902). Its type specimen is MACN 52-374, a mandible (a fragment of a right mandibular ramus with posterior root of m2, m3 missing metaconid, and roots of m4), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gran Barranca - southern cliff of lake Colhué Huapí, which is in a Colhuehuapian terrestrial horizon in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Oligobiotherium.
It was recombined as Microbiotherium divisum by Marshall (1982); it was corrected as Oligobiotherium divisum by Goin and Abello (2013).
