Arctodictis munizi
Taxonomy
Arctodictis munizi was named by Mercerat (1891). Its type specimen is MLP 11-85, a mandible (left mandibular fragment with canine and p1-m4, and part of right ramus with roots of canine and p1-2 and a near-complete p3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Monte León, which is in a Santacrucian terrestrial horizon in the Santa Cruz Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Artodictis.
