Harperoides alaskensis
Taxonomy
Harperoides alaskensis was named by Baranov and Blodgett (2016) [= Cymostrophia cf. C. costulata (Barrande): Kirk and Amsden, 1952, p. 55, pl. 10, figs. 12, 13.
= Mesodouvillina (Protocymostrophia) cf. M. (P.) costatula (Barrande, 1848): Savage, 1981, p. 363, pl. 2, figs. 5–7.]. Its type specimen is GM IDGPM, no. 219/3, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Soda Creek Type Section - 030 meters, which is in a Pragian shallow subtidal limestone in the Soda Creek Formation of Alaska. It is the type species of Harperoides.
