Conocypraea gregorioi was named by Schilder (1929). Its type specimen is SMF 1303, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Cypraeacites gregorioi by Schilder (1931); it was recombined as Eopustularia gregorioi by Fehse (2010).
