Austrocypraea contusa

Taxonomy
Cypraea (Luponia) contusa was named by McCoy (1877). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Balcombe Bay, which is in a Miocene marine siltstone in the Fyansford Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Cypraea (Austrocypraea).

It was recombined as Lyncina (Austrocypraea) contusa by Cossmann (1903); it was recombined as Austrocypraea contusa by Schilder (1941), Fehse (2003), Fehse (2013), Moretzsohn and Rosenberg (2015).
