Zhungaromys gromovi
Taxonomy
Zhungaromys gromovi was named by Emry et al. (1998). Its type specimen is IZ NAS RK, N34/237, a tooth (Left M2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Shinzhaly K1A and K1B, which is in an Irdinmanhan terrestrial mudstone in the Kolpak Formation of Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Zhungaromys.
