Saykanomys bohlini

Taxonomy

Advenimus bohlini was named by Dawson (1964). Its type specimen is AMNH 26294, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chimney Butte, North Mesa, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Ulan Shireh Formation of Mongolia.

It was recombined as Saykanomys bohlini by Averianov (1996), Emry et al. (1998).

Synonyms

Saykanomys chalchae was named by Shevyreva (1972).

It was synonymized subjectively with Advenimus bohlini by Dashzeveg (1990); it was synonymized subjectively with Saykanomys bohlini by Averianov (1996).
