Taxonomy
Euroemys vidalenci was named by Hervet (2004). Its type specimen is MNHN EBA 510, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Trotte-Cos, which is in a Lutetian terrestrial sandstone in the d'Aigne Sandstone Formation of France.
