Cuvierichelys iberica
Taxonomy
Chrysemys iberica was named by Bergounioux (1958). Its type specimen is MGB(E) n° 4180 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is El Talladell, Tàrrega, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial limestone in the Calcaries de Tàrrega Formation of Spain.
It was recombined as Palaeochelys iberica by Jimenez-Fuentes and Martin de Jesus (1991) and Ruiz (1997); it was recombined as Cuvierichelys iberica by Hervet (2004).
