Xinjiangchelys jingyanensis

Taxonomy
Plesiochelys jingyanensis was named by Yeh and Fang (1982). Its type specimen is IVPP V 6746, a partial skeleton (nearly complete carapace and plastron), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Plesiochelys jingyanensis type locality, which is in a Jurassic terrestrial horizon in China.

It was recombined as Xinjiangchelys jingyanensis by Brinkman et al. (2008).
