Taxonomy
Cyathaspis is a genus. It is not extant. Its type is Pteraspis banksi. It is the type genus of Cyathaspidae, Cyathaspidei.

It was assigned to Pteraspididae by Woodward (1891); to Pteraspidae by Hay (1902) and Jordan (1963); to Pteraspidomorphes by Sepkoski (2002); and to Cyathaspidae by Kiaer (1932) and Van Der Laan (2019).
