Taxonomy
Plaziatia estotiensis was named by Dolin and Lozouet (2004). Its type specimen is MNHN-IM-2000-3755, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Estoti St-Paul-les-Dax, which is in a Chattian perireef or subreef sandstone in the Falun de St. Paul-les-Dax Formation of France.

L. Dolin and P. Lozouet 2004La coquille relativement mince, a bords calleux, a spire masquee, est piriforme, a sole ventrale tres faiblement concave. I:ouverture assez large est droite, ne s'inflechissant adapicalement qu'insensiblement. Le canal siphonal est relativement profond, bien delimite, formam un pontet haur, allonge. Le pli terminal, maigre, est plongeant, comme horde par un fin et court funicule longitudinal ; il se prolonge sans rupture par la lame interne, legerement lanceolee a son extremite. La fossula, quoique regulierement excavee, est peu developpee et se confond avec 1' arrondi de 1' aire columellaire, peu globuleuse; la fossula porte a son bord a peine epaissi 3 minces denticules (+1 plus petit), allonges, relies aux premiers denticules de la levre interne. La levre interne, a angulation relativement abrupte, porte 16 denticules courts mais elle presence en sa partie mediane un affaissement caracteristique ou la denticulation s' allonge imperceptiblement sur plus de 2 mm. I:arete adapicale, longue et aceree, forme un arc ouvert. Le canal exhalant, relativement profond et bien delimite, est court, legerement dejete adapicalement. Les extn~mites epaisses des levres interne et externe forment un mufle arrondi. La levre externe est peu sinueuse, aplanie, crispee en son quart anterieur ; elle porte 22 denticules epais, assez courts.
