Taxonomy
Schilderia veronicata was named by Dolin and Lozouet (2004). Its type specimen is MNHN-IM-2000-3742, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Brigné (Beugnon), which is in a Messinian coastal sandstone in the falun calcaire biodetritique blanc Formation of France.

L. Dolin and P. Lozouet 2004La coquille, epaisse et solide, de taille moyenne, a la forme d'une figue allongee, a galbe subcylindrace, legerement surbaisse. La spire est totalement ennoyee par la callosite developpee du pontet adapical. La sole ventrale Jegerement convexe mais calleuse apparait aplanie. touverture relativemcnt large est Iegeren1ent epanuuie anrerieuremenr er imperceptiblement arquee post€rieurement. Le canal siphonal est large et peu profond, ouvert ; il forme un pontet allonge, bien degage du galbe de la coquille, non margine. Le pli terminal court, horizontal mais en position transverse, forme un meplat plongeant imperceptiblement, a peine interrompu par un denticule triangulaire ; il est prolong<' a 45° par la lame interne mince et obsolete, peu developpee, faisant legerement saillie sur I' ouverture. La fossula, plane et profonde, parte a son bord epaissi 6 petits denticules tuberculiformes, non funicules. raire columellaire, aplanie, est totalement lisse. La levre interne presence une angulation prononcee quoique legerement arrondie ; elle parte 19 denticules, petits mais relativement epais et allonges, limites a I' angulation. tarete adapicale est obsolete. Le canal exhalant, particulierement court, est peu profond et legerement depone adapicalement ; le pontet adapical est imperceptible. La levre externe, est large et calleuse, non marginee, crispee en son quart anterieur; elle parte 18 (+2) gros denticules relativement longs, regulierement espaces.
