Taxonomy
Cypraea (Luponia) sondeiana was named by Martin (1899). Its type specimen is RGM 10119, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Erronea (Adusta) sondeiana by Schilder (1937), Schilder (1941), Skwarko (1994).
