Zoila (Zoila) kendengensis was named by Schilder (1941). It is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Afrozoila.
It was recombined as Barycypraea kendengensis by Landau and Groves (2011); it was recombined as Zoila kendengensis by Darragh (2011); it was recombined as Afrozoila kendengensis by Fehse (2016).
