Crassodus reifi

Taxonomy
Crassodus reifi was named by Maisch and Matzke (2016). Its type specimen is SMNS 96900, a partial skull (partial cranial skeleton), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Old Ölschiefer-quarry, Holcim Süd-AG, Dotternhausen (Inoceramenbank), which is in a Falciferum offshore shale in the Posidonienschiefer Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Crassodus.
