Neochelys arenarum
Taxonomy
Neochelys arenarum was named by Broin (1977). Its type specimen is MNHN RI 45, a partial skeleton (carapace with plastron), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rians, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Lignites de Soissonais Formation of France.
