Protophiomys tunisiensis
Taxonomy
Protophiomys tunisiensis was named by Marivaux et al. (2014). Its type specimen is KEB-1-014, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Djebel el Kébar, which is in a Bartonian lagoonal mudstone/sandstone in Tunisia.
