Taxonomy
Protocypraea kohatica was named by Cox (1930). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hangu Shales - Samana Range, Pakistan, which is in a Selandian/Thanetian marginal marine shale in the Hangu Formation of Pakistan.
It was recombined as Bernaya (Protocypraea) kohatica by Schilder (1941).
