Taxonomy
Bernaya (Protocypraea) sayni was named by Schilder (1941) [Pseudocassis cf. helveticus Sayn 1932 p. 30-31 pl. 3 f. 17]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bogaris, trouve au fond du ravine des Faures, which is in a Barremian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Urgonian Limestone Formation of France.
