Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
J.L. Hartenberger 1982Primitive ctenodactylid with brachyodont cheek teeth. Cusps of these teeth are as smooth as in other species of Birbalomys but differences exist: the ectolophid is incomplete and lacks a mesostylid; the hypoconulid is not well developed on m3; p4 is shorter than in other Birbalomys; M3 is reduced anteroposteriorly.
