Wakkamys hartenbergeri
Taxonomy
Wakkamys hartenbergeri was named by Kumar et al. (1996). Its type specimen is WIMF/A 1288, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kargil-Akchamal-Batalik Road, km stone 4 (K/7b horizon), which is in an Oligocene fluvial-lacustrine shale in the Kargil Formation of India. It is the type species of Wakkamys.
