Taxonomy
Palaeocypraea paronai was named by Schilder (1932) [Replacement for Ovula striata Zekeli 1852: 64, pl. 11, figs. 9a-c, not Ovula striata Lamarck 1810]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Palaeocypraea (Palaeocypraea) paronai by Groves (1994).

    It was recombined as Pseudocassis striata by Stoliczka (1865); it was recombined as Erato striata by Parona and Prever (1909); it was replaced with Palaeocypraea paronai by Schilder (1932).
