Hunanictis inexpectatus

Taxonomy
Hunanictis inexpectatus was named by Li et al. (1979). Its type specimen is IVPP V5350, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Changpiliang, IVPP Loc. 76004, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Lingcha Formation of China. It is the type species of Hunanictis.
