Pristerodon vanhoepeni
Taxonomy
Synostocephalus vanhoepeni was named by Broili and Schroeder (1935). Its type specimen is BSP 1934 VIII34, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lombardskraal, Beaufort West, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial siliciclastic in South Africa. It is the type species of Synostocephalus.
It was recombined as Pristerodon vanhoepeni by King (1988).
