Taxonomy
Branchiosaurus dracyi was named by Boy (1972). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dracy Saint Loup, which is in an Autunian terrestrial horizon in the Muse Formation of France.
It was recombined as Apateon dracyi by Werneburg (2001), Schoch and Milner (2014).
