Stephanospondylus pugnax
Taxonomy
Phanerosaurus pugnax was named by Geinitz and Deichmüller (1882). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Niederhaslich, which is in a Sakmarian lacustrine limestone in the Niederhäslich-Schweinsdorf Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Stephanospondylus pugnax by Stappenbeck (1905) and Kissel (2010).
