Taxonomy
Eomyodon bolligeri was named by Lopatin (2000). Its type specimen is PIN, no. 4516/466, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Altynshokysu (bone bed I), which is in an Oligocene terrestrial siltstone/claystone in the Aral Formation of Kazakhstan.
It was recombined as Asianeomys bolligeri by Maridet et al. (2015).
