Taxonomy
Tachyoryctoides radnai was named by Daxner-Höck et al. (2015). Its type specimen is NHMW 2013/0445/0001, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Taatsiin Gol, right side, section TGR-C/1+2, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial mudstone in the Hsanda Gol Formation of Mongolia.
