Frontanyamys russelli
Taxonomy
Frontanyamys russelli was named by Quer and Agusti (2010). Its type specimen is IPS-41700, a tooth (Right m1–2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sant Jaume de Frontanyà-3C, which is in a Bartonian mire/swamp marl/coal in the Bellmunt Formation of Spain. It is the type species of Frontanyamys.
