Archaeonycteris praecursor
Taxonomy
Archaeonycteris praecursor was named by Tabuce et al. (2009). Its type specimen is UNLSNC-447, a tooth (right lower m1 or m2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Silveirinha clay pit, which is in an Eocene crevasse splay conglomerate/siliciclastic in the Silveirinha Formation of Portugal.
