Cretitanais giganteus
Taxonomy
Ophthalmapseudes giganteus was named by Malzahn (1979) [Assigned to Apseudes in title but to Ophthalmapseudes in text (bad taxonomy)]. It is not extant. Its type locality is Clay Pit, Engelbostel, Hannover, which is in a Hauterivian offshore claystone in Germany. It is the type species of Cretitanais.
It was recombined as Cretitanais giganteus by Schram et al. (1986).
