Langeronyx brodiei
Taxonomy
Rhynchosaurus brodiei was named by Benton (1990). Its type specimen is WARMS Gz6097 + BMNH R8495, a partial skull (partial skull and mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Coten End Quarry, which is in an Anisian channel sandstone/marl in the Bromsgrove Sandstone Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Langeronyx.
It was recombined as Langeronyx brodiei by Ezcurra et al. (2016).
