Disculina mancenidoi was named by MacFarlan (2016). Its type specimen is AU B462, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is AU 15222, Maretai Valley, Port Waikato (R13/f118), which is in a Tithonian marine horizon in New Zealand.
