Taxonomy
Palaeosciurus goti was named by Vianey-Liaud (1974). Its type specimen is MGB1, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mas de Got B, which is in a MP 22 terrestrial phosphorite in France.
