Taxonomy
Deperetomys magnus was named by de Bruijn et al. (2013). Its type specimen is BAN121, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Turija open-pit mine, which is in a MP 30 terrestrial claystone in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
