Taxonomy
Entomope semipunctata was named by Jeffery and Tracey (1997). Its type specimen is BMNH GG 14542, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Barnea bed, Bursledon Brickworks, which is in a Ypresian offshore shale in the London Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
