Schizogliravus daamsi

Taxonomy
Gliravus daamsi was named by Bosma and de Bruijn (1982). It is not extant. Its type specimen is IVAU HH 2 1641 M2 sup. dext., a tooth. Its type locality is Headon Hill HH2, Lower Headon Beds, Isle of Wight, which is in an Eocene marine claystone/claystone in the Lower Headon Beds Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Schizogliravus daamsi by Freudenthal (2004).

A. A. Bosma and H. de Bruijn 1982the cheek teeht fo G. daamsi are large for a Gliravus, and have a concave occlusal surface. In the lower molars the mesolophid extends to the buccal border of the tooth. The M1-2 have either one or two centrolophs, which may be fused.
