Taxonomy
Temnoclemmys mazedonica was named by Pasic and Klincarski (1959). Its type specimen is (number not provided), a partial shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Stip, which is in an Eocene terrestrial mudstone in North Macedonia.
