Miopipus pygmeus

Taxonomy
Portunus pygmeus was named by Brocchi (1883). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rakos, near Pesth, which is in a Badenian marine horizon in Hungary. It is the type species of Miopipus.

It was recombined as Macropipus pygmaeus by Müller (1974); it was recombined as Miopipus pygmeus by Schweitzer et al. (2010), Schweitzer et al. (2021).
