Taxonomy
Stropheodonta (Leptostrophia) mullochensis was named by Reed (1917) [= 1883. Strophomena expansa, Sowerby, Davidson, Mori. Brit. Foss. Brack., vol. v, Silur. Suppl., p. 194, pi. xv, figs. 1, 3-5 (non fig. 2).].

It was recombined as Stropheodonta (Leptostrophia) filosa mullochensis by Reed (1917); it was recombined as Aphanomena mullochensis by Benedetto (1995); it was recombined as Eostropheodonta mullochensis by Cocks (1967) and Cocks (2008).
