Nanotragulus fontanus
Taxonomy
Hypertragulus fontanus was named by Stock (1935). Its type locality is Kew Quarry, which is in a Whitneyan/Arikareean terrestrial claystone/sandstone in the Sespe Formation of California.
It was synonymized subjectively with Hypertragulus calcaratus by Lander (1983); it was recombined as Nanotragulus fontanus by Vislobokova (2001).
